Interactive Billings & Revenue Statements

On-demand view of billings and revenue across months with option to drill down into underlying transactions

Overview 

The Billings & Revenue Statements is a collection of report formats that provide insight into your  agency's billing and revenue, with customizable groupings.

Each report is interactive, allowing you to drill down into the underlying billing and revenue transactions for ease of analysis. 

Prerequisite

Your User Access Group needs to have access to  GL Client Billings and Revenue Reports to access Billings & Revenue Statements. 

This also gives you access to the standard billing and revenue reports from Accounting > General Ledger > General Ledger Reports


How does it work?

  1. Navigate to  Accounting > General Ledger > Billings & Revenue Statements

  2. Select the Column Format.
    1. Monthly
    2. Monthly & Year To Date
    3. Last Year Comparison
    4. Annual Comparison
  3. Select the data to Include
    1. Billings & Revenue
    2. Billings Only
    3. Revenue Only
  4. Grouping: You can choose up to 3 levels of grouping.  Within each Group Option, you can optionally choose to use a Custom Code.   

    For example: If you choose Client as  Group Option 1,  the Group Custom Code 1 list will include all of the Client custom fields, e.g. Reporting Client, Division, etc.

  5. Date range: Select the From and To Accounting Years and Accounting Months. You need to select a minimum of one month and cannot exceed 12 months. 
  6. By default, the report will break out by Office. Uncheck the option to Separate Report for Each Office? to get a consolidated report across all offices.

    To filter the list of offices, click on the search icon.  You can also filter by Entity. All offices within the entities selected are included in the report. 
  7. If reporting across multiple offices with different currencies,  the system will automatically select the Convert to Selected Currency option. The currency code defaults to your Home Currency.  Update the Report Currency if needed and choose the FX rate source.

  8. Click the Load button for the interactive PDF view of the report or export the data into Excel.  On the the interactive PDF, you can click on an amount to drill down into the underlying General Ledger Transaction Details.

Report grouping hierarchy 

The report will be broken out as follows:

Office (or All Offices) 

             Billings 

                          Group 1 

                                       Group 2 

                                                    Group 3 

                Revenue 

                            Group 1 

                                       Group 2 

                                                    Group 3
