How to create a freeform estimate

You can create an estimate from scratch by using the freeform option.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to JOBS > Estimates. 
  2. Select NEW ESTIMATE. The Estimate builder will be presented. Let's review the page from top to bottom.

    1. The top section has your default client information. 
    2. The bottom section is the estimate builder.  The first line is your header followed by the subheader. Enter your header and subheader titles. 
  3. On the next line, search for the Task Type for this line item estimate by hitting the search icon.

  4. Tab through and make the necessary adjustments.
  5. Once you have entered your task types select save.
  6. You will notice that additional icons are available on the left-hand side of the estimate builder.

    1. The up and down arrow enables you to change the order of your estimate line items.
    2. The pointer icon enables. you to insert a line above or below a specific estimate line item.

Insert a New Header and Sub Header Group

  1. Select the pointer icon to the left of the existing header, when you select up, the new header will be created before the existing header, and down will be after the existing header. 
  2. A blank estimate will be presented,  Here you can insert the new header, subheader, and associated tasks.

Insert a new subheader

  1. Select the pointer icon to the left of the existing subheader.
  2. The estimate form will be presented and the header section will be grayed out.
  3. Enter your new subheader underneath the existing header.
  4. Select the appropriate task types and click on Insert.

Insert additional Task Types

  1. Select the pointer icon to the left of the existing task type. 
  2. the estimate form will be presented, you will notice that both the header and sub-header fields are grayed out. 
  3. Select a Task Type from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on Insert.
