Estimate layouts
If you've created an estimate with multiple task types and detail rows, you may not want to display all of this information on the estimate report for your client. Luckily, our system offers multiple options for displaying estimates through layouts.
Step by Step Guide:
1. Navigate to JOBS > Estimates

2. Click on the Job No. to open up an existing estimate.

3. Select Settings from the dropdown menu, then choose General Settings.

4. A new popup screen will appear, displaying the Layout dropdown menu
Heading Layout - Description
Line Items - This will display the following
- Task Type Name
- The total amount being charged to the client for this Task Type
- Any notes entered against the Task Type
Line Items with Unit Rates - This will display the Following
- Task Type Name
- Task Type units
- Task Type rate
- The total amount being charged to the client for this Task Type
- Any notes entered against the Task Type
Headings only- This will display the following
- The total amount being charged to the client for all Task Types created under this Heading and not the Task Types themselves
- Any notes entered against the Heading
No Details- This will display the following
- The total amount being charged to the client for all Task Types - It will not display any Task Types or Headings themselves, nor will it display any notes entered against the Heading
Line Items with Units, Rates and Taxes - This will display the following
- Same as Line Items with Units and Rates
- Additional column for Tax amount per line
