How to copy an existing estimate
Need to create an estimate for a new job? Get it done in no time by simply copying an existing one!
Steps:
- Navigate to Jobs > Estimates.
- Select a JOB NO. to access the Estimate details page.
- Click COPY.
- There are 2 options on how you can copy an estimate.
- Copy from one job number and duplicate to the same job.
- Copy from one job number and duplicate to a different job.
Copy from one job and duplicate to the same job.
Make changes to an existing job and create a new estimate that replaces or supersedes the previous one.
STEPS:
- On the Copy Estimate page, click on the SUPERSEDES THE COPY FROM ESTIMATE?
- By default, the system will automatically select the data to be copied. Click or un-click the boxes that need to be duplicated.
- Click COPY.
Copy from one job number and duplicate to a different job.
STEPS:
- On the Copy Estimate page, choose the new job you want to copy the old details to by clicking on the dropdown list under the COPY TO label.
- Select the data you want to copy from the old job to the new job by checking the appropriate boxes.
- Click COPY.
For an estimate to be duplicated or copied, the job must originate from the same office.
