Save searches and summary filters
Create templates for recurring searches and commonly used filters
What is it?
Filter Templates allow users to save and manage sets of filters on summary and search pages. Instead of manually selecting filters each time, users can save filter configurations and quickly reapply them as needed. This functionality is especially useful for users who frequently produce standard reports or work with search pages.
Why it matters
Filter Templates simplify recurring tasks, save time, and maintain consistency by allowing users to save, apply, update, and delete predefined sets of filters. This feature improves user experience and creates efficiency.
How does it work?
-
Saving Filters: Users can save the current set of page filters as a new template. Templates are named by the user (e.g., "Monthly P&L in Local Currencies") and stored for future use.
-
Loading Templates: Users can quickly apply a saved filter set by selecting a template from the "Filter Templates" button.
-
Updating or Deleting Templates: Users can update an existing template with new filter settings or delete templates they no longer require.
-
Safe Updates: Changing the active page filters does not automatically modify any saved templates. This preserves the integrity of saved filter sets and prevents unintentional changes.
