View Historical and Forecasted Depreciation on a Fixed Asset
Overview
A new page which details the Fixed Asset's depreciation and forecasted depreciation is displayed on the Asset History page.
How to view the Asset History page
Navigate to the Accounting menu > click on General Ledger > select the Fixed Assets option.
The system will direct you to the Search Fixed Assets page. You can use any of the Filters to limit the list of fixed assets displayed. Select a fixed asset by clicking on the associated Asset ID.
Once a fixed asset is displayed, click on the Asset History link at the top right corner.
The system outlines any depreciation that has been posted against this fixed asset along with the depreciation for future months. The Depreciation Number and Journal Number columns include clickable links to show the depreciation record as well as the journal entry made for that month's depreciation.
In the example below, depreciation has taken place for the month of January however, it has not been approved as of yet, thus, you do not see a journal number for that month.
