How to build Non-Broadcast Media Schedules

Non-Broadcast Media schedules are used for placements such as print, outdoor, or other offline channels. These schedules capture insertion details like size, rate, and deadlines to calculate client billing and supplier costs.

Steps to Build a Non-Broadcast Media Schedule

  1. Create or open a Media Schedule.

  2. Select Add Mediums and choose a Non-Broadcast Medium (e.g., Print Publication, Billboard).

  3. In the placement screen, complete the following details:

    • Date: Insertion or display date.

    • Number of Insertions/Spots: Total number of placements (required).

    • Size: Placement size (e.g., half-page, full-page, billboard dimensions).

    • Rate: Cost per insertion (required).

    • Markup: Percentage markup if applicable.

    • Columns / Lines / CM: Enter if applicable for print-based pricing.

    • Job Number: Link the insertion to a specific job if required.

    • Key Number: Assign a creative key reference.

    • Booking Deadline: Last date bookings can be confirmed.

    • Material Deadline: Last date creative material is due.

    • Adjustment Type: Select from:

      • Bill Client & Pay Media

      • Bill Client Don’t Pay Media

      • Pay Media Don’t Bill Client

  4. Add any Loadings and Discounts if required.

  5. Click Calc to calculate client billing and supplier payable totals.

  6. Click Save to finalize the insertion details.

Key Concepts

  • Insertion-Based Detail: Non-Broadcast schedules rely on number of insertions and size.

  • Rate-Driven: Rates directly drive billing and payable amounts.

  • Adjustment Types: Provide flexibility for billing vs. supplier payment.

  • Print-Specific Fields: Columns, lines, and CM are available for detailed pricing.

Why It Matters

Non-Broadcast schedules ensure print, outdoor, and other offline media placements are tracked and billed accurately. Proper setup prevents discrepancies between client invoices and supplier invoices.
