How to set up Media Options in Accountability
Media Options control how the Media feature handles invoicing, reconciliation, and accounting. These settings must be configured to ensure media activity flows correctly through WIP, revenue, and costs.
Steps to Set Up Media Options
Click Save to apply your settings.
Key Concepts
- Go to SET UP FILES>Set up options>Media Options
- Select or deselect each option based on your agency’s requirements:

- Accrue revenue on unbooked media Recognizes revenue for planned media before it is formally booked.
- Disclose Service Fee on Client Media Invoice Displays service fees as separate line items on client invoices.
- Disclose Mark Up as Commission on Client Media Invoice Displays markups as commission instead of including them in media costs.
- Media Client Invoice requires appearance reconciliation Prevents client invoices from being approved until media activity is reconciled.
- Media Supplier Invoice requires appearance reconciliation Prevents supplier invoices from being approved until reconciled.
- Use Freewheel Media Enable if your agency uses Freewheel for media buying workflows.
- Use Media Enables media functionality across the system.
- Use PR Media Enable if your agency manages PR-related media activity.
- Use Mediaocean Media Enable if your agency uses Mediaocean for media planning or financial workflows.
- Use Media Sales Less COGS Accounting Records media revenue net of cost instead of gross.
- Show office currency totals on foreign currency Client Media Invoices Displays totals in the office’s base currency when invoicing in foreign currency.
- Show invoice total amount in words on Client Media Invoices Displays the invoice total written out in words.
