How to view client new business reports

This guide shows how to view details for clients "won" and the revenue or billings across defined periods.

Step by Step Guide:

    Scenario

    1. Let's say you want to view the clients or new business your agency won in 2021. You would set report parameters as follows:

    • Earlier Reporting Period = 2020/January - 2020/December
    • Later Reporting Period = 2021/January - 2021/December
    • New Business Threshold = 100%
    • Revenue or Billings = Revenue

With the above settings, the report would list all clients who had revenue in 2021 but did not have revenue in 2020.

Setting the New Business Threshold to 80%, for example, will include any client whose revenue increased by 80% or more from 2020 to 2021.

The report also provides a New Business %. In the above setting, it will show the total revenue from "won" clients in 2021 as a percentage of total revenue in 2020.

    2. Navigate to ACCOUNTING > General Ledger > General Ledger Statement & Reports > General Ledger Reports.

    3. Expand Click Client Billing & Revenue Reports.

    4. Click Client New Business Report

    5. Define the following parameters

    • Currencies - Select the currency
      • Use Office Home Currencies
      • Convert to Selected Currency

    6. Click Excel, Preview, or Print to view the report.
