Japanese External Facing Documents
How to create Japanese versions of the Job Estimate, Client Job Invoice, and Purchase Order.
Accountability provides the option to create Job Estimates, Client Job Invoices, and Purchase Orders in Japanese.
Set Up Steps:
1. Navigate to Set Up Files > Report Set Up > Report Settings
2. Click on the Set Report Title For Office link at the top right
3. Click on the Create A New Office Report Title button
4. Select an office from the Office drop down
Note - this office must be defined with Japan as the country.
5. Select one of the following from the Report drop down field:
-
- Client Job Invoices
- Job Estimates
- Purchase Orders
6. Enter the corresponding Japanese title in the Title field
7. Enter the corresponding Japanese title in the Negative Title field
Tip - you can use the same title for both unless you have a different title to use for reports with a negative total amount.
8. Select Japanese Standard from the Layout field.
Defining the Layout
When creating Job Estimates, Client Job Invoices and Purchase Orders, you must select the Japanese Standard layout to get your report in Japanese. Otherwise, your report will be in English.
Note - The Japanese Standard layout will only appear if the office is linked to country Japan. If you do not see the Japanese Standard layout option, confirm that the office selected has Japan defined as the country.
Job Estimates
When creating the estimate, select Japanese Standard from the Layout drop down. The Japanese Standard layout will only appear if the Job Office has Japan as a country linked.
Purchase Orders
When creating Purchase Orders, you must select an office with Japan as the country. Once a Japanese office has been selected, then you will be able to see the Japanese Standard option in the Layout drop down.
Client Job Invoices
When creating Client Job Invoices, select the Japanese Standard layout option on Page 2 of the Client Job Invoice Wizard.
You can also apply the Japanese Standard layout of an existing invoice by searching for the invoice then clicking on the Layout link for that invoice.
Select the Japanese Standard option from the Layout field.
Note - These Japanese Standard layouts will translate the field labels into Japanese. However, the user entered data (such as client name) will appear as inputted.
