Job Types
For Job-related transactions, a Task Type needs to be mapped to a Job Type in order for it to be available for selection.
Once you add a new Task Type, you will be prompted to map it to one or more Job Types. To review and export existing mappings, navigate to Jobs>Jobs and click on the Job Types hyperlink on the top of the page. Learn more here.
You can define Headings and Sub-Headings to organize and group Task Types.
Titles
It is best practice to have Titles defined in the Employees Master File page before creating Task Types in the platform. This gives you the option to set a Default Title for Time Charge Task Types at the time of creation. You can also restrict a Title to specific Task Types. Learn how to restrict task types to specific employee titles here.
Departments
You can assign a Task Type to a specific Department. This is required for Department Utilization and Revenue by Department reporting.
