Custom format on interactive financial statements, weekly timesheet approval, and tax reporting enhancements
Use custom financial format on interactive financial statements
Finance teams can now use a financial statement format on the interactive Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheet. Financial statement formats give agencies the flexibility to organize and present their balance sheet and income statement based on the audience for the information.
By default, interactive financial statements are organized based on how the agency's chart of account structure. In addition to selecting a specific report type (aka column format), users can now apply a custom report format. Learn more.
Streamlined user experience on interactive financial statements
- When a user first lands on the page, the Filters pane is automatically expanded so the user can confirm the formats and report parameters. The action button has also been relabeled from 'Reload' to 'Load'.
- The Load action launches an interactive report view. Clicking on the amount at the account level brings up the GL Transaction Details page.
- Tip: Right-click on the amount and choose Open Link in New Tab or in New Window. This allows you to easily go back and forth to the main report and detail pages.
- The General Ledger Transaction Details page now includes a total line.
Manage timesheet approval workflow within Accountability
Agencies now have the option to require manager approval for weekly timesheets. Designated approvers are notified of new timesheets submitted and can approve or reject timesheets within the platform.
Timesheet vs time approval
Hours still need to be posted to the job in order to appear on job cost reports. Weekly timesheet approval is not required to post hours (aka 'final approve') to a job.
To learn more, see Weekly Timesheet Approval.
Filter tax report by tax code
The Tax Report - Accrual Basis has been updated with a filter for Tax Codes. Local offices can now filter on specific tax codes based on the the audience of the report.
The list of tax codes are based on the user's office access.
