Okta authentication for COUNTA mobile app

Authentication protocols 

COUNTA by Accountability supports the following authentication protocols: 

  • OAuth 2.0

  • OpenID Connect (OIDC)

Other protocols will require custom development.

Enabling Okta authentication 

Add mobile app URL to Okta console 

  1. Agency to confirm the authentication protocol used, 
  2. Accountability to provide the App URL(s) based on the authentication protocol.
    1. Android: https://counta.com/android/com.app.accountability/login
    2. iOS: com.app.accountability://counta.com/ios/com.app.accountability/login
  3. Agency to add COUNTA mobile app to the Company's Okta console.  

Okta Company ID

  1. Agency to provide Okta Company ID to Accountability. 
  2. Accountability will use the agency's Okta Company ID to configure and synchronize the authentication system.
