How to create a credit reversal for client job invoices
To credit a final invoice, create a credit note for the full amount. For partial credits, use a new free-form invoice with a negative value. Credit notes reverse source invoices with similar accounting impacts as standard Client Job Invoices.
Steps:
- Navigate to ACCOUNTING > Receivables > Client Job Invoices.
- Narrow down your search to an approved and posted client job invoice.
- Select the approved Client Job Invoice to be credited.
- On the top right on the client job invoice detail page, click CREATE CREDIT.
- Enter the desired CREDIT INVOICE DATE and click OK to proceed.
- This action will take you back to the Client Job Invoice screen.
- Click on the SUBMIT button.
- Click the back arrow to return to the Client Job Invoice search screen.
- The newly generated credit reversal can now be easily located and processed in a similar manner to regular debit invoices.
