Timelines - task assignment
View task assignment for employees
If you allocate a Timeline task to a specific employee, the employee will see their assigned tasks in the following places:
- My Outstanding Tasks by navigating to My Calendar
- Task Management Screen (TMS) by navigating to Time & Tasks>Tasks>Task Management
To see the task in the Task Management Screen, you need to filter for the Team that the employee is a member of and set the date range to include the date for the allocated tasks.
If set to Timeline view, the task appears at the top of the list for employees within that Team. You can then drag and drop any task to relevant Team members.
If you have set the employee's external email calendar address in their Employee record, the employee will also get a calendar notification in their external email and calendar system, for all tasks allocated to them.
If you allocate a task to a Team member and save , it will automatically appear in the Resource Management screen.
If you set the TMS screen to Timeline view the task appears at the top of the list of Employees within that Team.
You can then drag and drop that task to the relevant Team member
