Header Entity, Preferred Employee Name, and Time Off Hours
Introducing: Header Entities
What is it?
You now have the ability to group your reporting Entities into a Header Entity. Entities enable you to report on a group of offices on financial reports. An office can belong to multiple entities to accommodate your reporting requirements.
All interactive financial statements have been updated with with an option to filter on a specific Header Entity.
Why does it matter?
A Header Entity is especially helpful if you consistently run consolidated financial statements across entities. Instead of selecting individual entities to include in the report, you can simply select the Header Entity. It saves you clicks and eliminates errors, e.g. inadvertently excluding or duplicating entities.
How does it work?
- Authorized users can create a Header Entity by navigating to Set Up Files > Offices and clicking on the Entities link on the top of the page.
- Let's say you'd like to create a global reporting entity that groups all of your regional reporting entities in the platform. Click
Create New Entity
. This will bring up the Entity form where you can enter a code and name for your Header Entity, e.g. GLOBAL for Global Entity. Do not select any offices for this record. - Once you have created the header entity, you can now link this to your regional reporting Entities. Click into each Entity and update the Header Entity.
- On all interactive financial statements, the Entity filter now includes a Header Entity filter option.
View Time Off Hours on Manage > Weekly Timesheets
Leave and Public Holidays in Accountability are shown as Time Off hours on an employee's timesheet.
These time off hours are now shown within a dedicated column the Manage > Weekly Timesheets page. Time Off hours are only shown for reference, so the Total Hours on this page will continue to reflect the total timesheet hours minus time off hours.
Use Preferred Name on the mobile app
In preparation for our mobile time and expense app, we have added a new field on the Employee form called Preferred Name. This field has been pre-populated with the employee's first and last names as entered in the Employee Name field but can be updated to show the name that the employee wants or has elected to be called.
At this time, the employee's Preferred Name will only display on the Accountability mobile app's home page, slated for release this quarter.
Excited about our mobile app?
Get a head start by updating the Preferred Name of your employees.
