🎉 ENHANCEMENTS

Easily access custom data

The Custom Data feature in Accountability provides flexibility to tailor our platform to specific business needs with minimum development overhead.  Now, we've enhanced this functionality to make custom data accessible directly from the context of your current records—whether you're working with Jobs, Products, Campaigns, or other key items. This contextual approach brings relevant custom data to your fingertips exactly when you need it, reducing navigation steps and keeping you focused on your work.

What is it?

  • A new Custom Data option has been added to the Settings dropdown on pages like Jobs, Products, Campaigns, and other key records.

  • Clicking the link opens the Custom Data screen, automatically filtered to show only data associated with the selected item.

  • When creating a new custom data entry, the related record (e.g., Job, Product) is pre-filled for convenience.

Why it matters?

You can now easily access existing custom data or create new ones without navigating out of the current context you’re in.  This enhancement eliminates additional clicks, enabling faster access to required information and streamlining the user experience.

How It Works:

  • Navigate to a supported page (e.g., Job, Product, Campaign).

  • Open the Settings menu and select Custom Data.

  • The system will redirect you to the Custom Data screen, filtered by the current record.

  • If you click New Custom Data, the selected record (e.g., Job ID) is automatically populated in the form.

Additional controls when generating client refunds

What is it?

You can generate a refund directly from an AR credit balance for any client.

  • We’ve added a validation to ensure that the Refund Clearing GL Account field is mandatory when creating a client refund from a receipt.
  • Payment Type is also now required to ensure proper payment setup.

Why does it matter?

This enhancement prevents incomplete refund entries and supports more accurate financial records.

🔧 FIXES

Consolidated approval notification

Only impacts agencies using Approval Scenarios

Issue:

Following our March 24th release of "Summarized Sequential Approval Notifications", we discovered that during the second sequence of approval scenarios, multiple expense line items were still generating separate emails or messages to the same approver, contrary to the intended functionality.

Fix:

All relevant line items are now properly grouped into a single email/message per approval sequence at all stages. This consolidation occurs specifically within each approval scenario - for example, if you have different scenarios for billable versus non-billable expenses, the system will send separate consolidated notifications for each scenario type. This enhancement completes the functionality described in our March 24th release notes.
