Option to Display Invoice Notes After Document Details

Overview

We’ve expanded layout flexibility for invoices by introducing an option to display notes after the document details, rather than only in the header. This enhancement applies to Client Job Invoices and Sundry Invoices, giving teams more control over how important information is presented.

What is it?

Users can now choose to position invoice notes below the line items and totals. This is especially useful for longer, detailed explanations that relate directly to the charges on the invoice. Header notes remain unchanged and continue to appear at the top for summary-level information.

Why it matters?

  • Improved readability: Notes appear where they’re most relevant near the cost breakdown.
  • Better client communication: Detailed instructions or clarifications can follow the financial details for clearer context.
  • Flexibility: Supports different presentation preferences without disrupting existing header note functionality.

How it works

  • On the Notes page for invoices, you’ll see a new option: “Print Notes after Total.”
  • When selected, notes will appear below line items and totals in the generated document.
  • Header notes remain unchanged and continue to appear at the top.

When is it needed?

This feature is ideal if you:
  • Include detailed explanations tied to invoice line items.
  • Want to keep summaries at the top and details at the bottom.
  • Need a cleaner, more structured layout for client-facing documents.

Improved Tab Navigation on Job Form

Overview

We’ve refined the keyboard navigation experience on the Job Form to ensure a more logical and consistent tab order. This improvement makes it easier for users who prefer or rely on keyboard input to move through fields efficiently.

What is it?

The Tab key now moves through fields in a clear, left-to-right sequence that matches the visual layout of the form. This eliminates previous inconsistencies where navigation jumped across sections unexpectedly.

Why it matters?

  • Better accessibility: Supports users who navigate without a mouse.
  • Improved efficiency: Reduces unnecessary keystrokes and confusion when completing forms.
  • Consistent experience: Aligns keyboard navigation with the visual flow of the page.

How it works

  • Pressing Tab will now move through fields in the expected order, starting from the top-left and progressing logically across the form.
  • No additional settings are required this improvement is applied automatically.

When is it needed?

This enhancement is especially helpful if you:
  • Use keyboard shortcuts for speed and convenience.
  • Work on devices or environments where mouse navigation is limited.
  • Want a smoother, more predictable form-filling experience.
