Update Option and Enhancements for Custom Codes Excel Function
We’ve made several improvements to the Custom Codes Excel functionality to align with standard import/export behavior across the system.
Enhancements:
-
New “Update” Option: In addition to Import and Export, a new Update option is now available in the Custom Codes section.
-
IDKey Included in Export: The Excel export now includes the IDKey column, allowing for more accurate updates when using the update function.
-
Standard Excel Format Applied: Both the export file and the downloadable template now follow the standard formatting used across other Excel-based tools in the system.
These changes improve consistency and make it easier to manage Custom Codes using Excel—reducing manual work and simplifying updates.
New Interoffice Posting Option for AR/AP Accounts
A new Interoffice posting type has been added to support interoffice billing configurations for agencies that share clients across multiple offices.
What’s New:
-
A new Posting Type: Interoffice option is now available in the GL Account Posting Setup screen.
-
Users can define an Accounts Receivable (AR) and/or Accounts Payable (AP) GL account specifically for interoffice billing transactions.
-
Only one Interoffice posting record is allowed per company.
How It Works:
-
When an interoffice billing invoice is generated:
-
If a designated Interoffice AR account is set up, it will populate the AR Account on Client Job Invoices and Sundry Invoices.
-
If a designated Interoffice AP account is set up, it will populate the AP Account on Supplier Invoices.
-
-
If no Interoffice posting record exists, the system will fall back to existing logic.
This change provides more accurate financial tracking for companies leveraging interoffice billing across multiple offices.
Timeline Header End Date Added to Process Plans
We’ve added support for defining an End Date on job process plans, giving users better control and visibility into project timelines.
What’s New:
-
New “End Date” Field: A new End Date field is now available in the header section of the Job Process Plan entry screen.
-
Layout Enhancements: Both Start Date and End Date can now be added as columns to the Job Process Plan Browse screen for easier tracking and reporting.
-
Behavior Update: When inserting a new plan, the End Date will remain blank by default and will be retained correctly once set.
-
UI Cleanup: The “Resource Management” link has been removed from the Job Process Plan Browse screen.
How It Works
-
When creating a new job process plan, users can now enter an End Date in the header section.
-
The End Date is optional and defaults to blank.
-
Once entered, the End Date is saved automatically when clicking Insert, ensuring it is not lost during the entry process.
-
Both Start Date and End Date can be added to the grid layout in the Job Process Plan Browse screen for easier visibility and filtering.
-
The Resource Management link has been removed to streamline the interface.
This update provides improved flexibility for managing job timelines across projects.
Last Activity Date Added to Job Cost and Billing Summary
A new Last Transaction Date column has been added to help users quickly identify the most recent activity on a job within the Job Cost and Billing Summary.
What’s New:
-
A new Last Transaction Date column is now available on the Job Cost and Billing Summary screen (formerly ClientJobInvoicingCenter).
-
This column is hidden by default but can be added through the Layout options.
-
The value is based on the latest transaction date recorded in the Production Costs for each job.
How It Works
-
The system checks the Production Costs associated with the job and displays the most recent transaction date.
-
This gives users visibility into the last activity recorded on the job, helping teams make informed decisions about job closure and follow-ups.
This enhancement improves job tracking and supports better financial oversight by highlighting inactive or aging jobs.
Fix: Invoice Preview Restored During Supplier Invoice Approval
A fix has been implemented to restore the “View” (eye icon) functionality when approving Supplier Invoices via the approval message link.
What Was the Issue:
-
When approvers clicked on a message/email link to approve a supplier invoice, the “eye” icon to preview the invoice PDF was missing.
-
Users could only view the invoice PDF by navigating manually through the Approve > Supplier Invoices menu.
What’s Fixed:
-
The “View” icon is now visible again on the approval page accessed via the notification/message link.
-
Approvers can once again review invoice PDFs directly before taking approval actions, regardless of how they accessed the approval screen.
This update ensures a consistent approval experience and supports better visibility during invoice reviews.
