Multi-select Job Type Filter
Overview
We’ve enhanced the job type filter functionality across key pages to support multi-selection, making it easier to refine your search results and manage job types more efficiently.
What is it?
Previously, users could only select one job type at a time when filtering job listings. With this update, the filter now allows you to select multiple job types simultaneously.
Why it matters
This change improves usability and flexibility:
- You no longer need to run multiple searches to compare different job types.
- It saves time and streamlines workflows, especially for users managing diverse job categories.
How it works
- Navigate to any of the updated pages with job type filters.
- Click on the Job Type dropdown.
- You can now check multiple boxes to include several job types in your search.
- The results will dynamically update to reflect your selections.
The following pages have been updated with the new job type filters
- Job Cost & Billing Summary
- Job Financial Summary
- Job Profitability Summary
- Job Time SUmmary
- Job Cash Summary
- Job WIP Job Summary
- Revenue Recognition
- Accrued Revenue
- Deferred Revenue
When is it needed?
This feature is ideal when:

Renamed “Approve” Transaction Types for Consistency
Overview
We’ve updated the transaction type names in the User Access Group setup to match the labels used in the Approve menu and corresponding page titles. This change ensures a consistent and intuitive experience when managing user permissions.
What is it?
Previously, the transaction types listed in the User Access Group screen used older or inconsistent naming conventions. With this update:
- Transaction type names now mirror the Approve menu options.
- Page titles and access labels are now aligned across the platform.
For example:
- “Supplier Invoice Approval” is now “Approve Supplier Invoices”
- “Supplier Invoice Approval – Credit Cards” is now “Approve Credit Cards”
These changes are visible only in the User Access Group configuration screen and do not affect functionality.
Why it matters
This update improves:
- Clarity: Users can now easily match access rights with the correct menu items.
- Efficiency: Reduces confusion when assigning or reviewing permissions.
- Consistency: Aligns terminology across menus, pages, and access settings.
How it works
- Navigate to Set Up Files > User Access Groups
- When assigning access, you’ll now see updated transaction type names that match the Approve menu
When is it needed?
This update is especially helpful when:
- Setting up or modifying user access groups
- Training new users or administrators
- Auditing access rights for approval workflows
Preferred Name Now Included in Employee Export/Import
Overview
You can now export and import employee records with their Preferred Name included ensuring this important personal detail is preserved across systems.
What is it?
Previously, when exporting employee data from Accountability, the Preferred Name field was not included. This meant that any preferred names entered in the system were lost during data transfers or bulk updates.
With this update:
- The Preferred Name is now part of the Employee Export file.
- It is also supported in the Employee Import process, so you can retain or update this field in bulk.
Why it matters
This enhancement improves:
- Data accuracy: Ensures preferred names are not lost during export/import.
- Personalization: Supports respectful and accurate communication by preserving how employees prefer to be addressed.
- Efficiency: Reduces the need for manual re-entry of preferred names after bulk updates.
How it works
- When exporting employee data, the Preferred Name field is now included in the export file.
- When importing employee data, you can populate the Preferred Name column to update or add this information in bulk.
- The system will automatically map and apply the preferred names during import.
When is it needed?
Use this feature when:
- Performing bulk updates to employee records
- Migrating employee data between environments
- Auditing or reviewing employee identity fields for accuracy
