What's New - October 30, 2023
Duplicate employee names are now supported
We have removed the constraint to keep employee names unique within your database. This is in response to the growing use of Accountability's API to automate Employee record creation and updates from any HR system.
As a result of this change, we have been progressively updating impacted pages and reports to ensure that both Employee Name and Code are visible.
Easily view Tenant ID for API authentication
What is it?
A Tenant ID is the unique ID for your Accountability database.
Why does it matter?
To use the Accountability, you need to generate an authentication token. A Tenant ID is required to generate this token. Prior to this release, you had to contact Accountability for this ID.
This is also helpful if your agency has multiple Accountability databases.
How does it work?
Hover on the Accountability logo. Your agency's Tenant ID is appended to the agency name, after a dash. See example below.
Manage inventory locations
What is it?
The Inventory function in Accountability allows experiential agencies to track branded merchandise on behalf of clients. You can now manage the location of inventories.
Why does it matter ?
With Location, an agency can now tag its inventory spaces, like warehouses or offsite storage units, with the building or facility that they belong to.
How does it work?
- To add a new inventory location:
- Navigate to Manage>Inventories and click the Inventory Locations link. Click the New Inventory Location button to add a new record.
- Enter the warehouse storage unit's location name and click Save.
- To assign a Location for an inventory:
- Navigate to Manage>Inventories and click on the inventory ID hyperlink. Select from the list of available Locations.
- Use the Excel template to update the location for multiple inventory records at one time.
Agency-defined tags for inventory
What is it?
Agencies using Accountability to manage branded-merchandise on behalf of clients can now tag their inventory with a custom label.
Why does it matter?
This gives the agency additional metadata to attach to each inventory, for more specific categorization and better organization.
How does it work?
For more information on creating custom code labels, see How to create custom codes. For step-by-step instructions on creating a list for each custom code label, see How to define a custom code list.
