System Update - Scheduled Invoices
Simplified user interface to define scheduled invoice amounts
What is it?
Accountability's Scheduled Invoices function allows you to enter the billing schedule agreed upon with your client for a specific job.
- We simplified the user interface so you can simply enter the amount for each billing date. Prior to this change, you had to first check a box to unlock the amount fields.
- The method to schedule an invoice based on % of total estimate has been removed. The Invoice % field is now protected and for reference only. Prior to this change, the system used the value in this field to calculate the amount on the client invoice.
Why does it matter?
This change ensures that the amount entered on the Scheduled Invoices page is the amount that will print on the client invoice.
This also eliminates the need to allocate a Task Type to capture rounding adjustments between the scheduled invoice amount and the final client invoice amount.
How does it work?
This feature requires a Job Estimate and validates that the sum of the scheduled amounts equal the Estimate total.
- To create an Estimate Schedule Invoices, follow the steps here.
- To generate multiple Client Job Invoices using amounts from the Scheduled Invoices page, follow the steps here.
Tip
You can now create a billing schedule for an Estimate that has not been posted. Your agency 's Accountability Admin can enable the option below to ensure that the scheduled invoices is re-validated against the posted Estimate Total.
